A new website to help find vacation rentals in the U.S. started up this month. www.pickpackgo.com allows you to search by number of bedrooms and location to find the ideal place to stay. While limited at the moment, the service intends to expand internationally.

Traveling with a Phone
Planning a trip to Europe but really need a cell phone while you're there? Try Call-in-Europe (www.call-in-europe.com) which offers rental phones (as low as $2.99 a day) plus a $15 and $30 monthly calling plans (with roll-over minutes if you're visiting France). Keep in mind though that's a one-time $25 activation charge, plus shipping for the phone. If you're currently an AT&T customer and have a newer model cell phone, it might be cheaper to activate the International Calling feature ($5.99/month) which can be cancelled when you return. Calls are billed at $.99 a minute, including roaming charges.

A recent study conducted by Orbitz indicates that we're less likely to stay connected with work even while on vacation than we were a year ago.
