Chris Couch Captures Third Consecutive Oregon Classic For Nike Golf Tour Staff BEAVERTON, Ore. (September 15, 2003) - On Sunday, Chris Couch became the third consecutive Nike Golf Staff player to earn a victory at the Oregon Classic on the Nationwide Tour at Shadow Hills Country Club in Eugene, Ore., just 114 miles south of Nike Golf's world headquarters in Beaverton, Ore. Couch birdied the first hole of a playoff for the win. The 30-year old resident of Gainesville, Fla., plays Nike Golf's new TA2-LNG, the updated version of the TA2ILNG with an even faster core for greater distance. Couch also sports Nike Golf footwear and apparel for comfort and performance. The victory was the 10th of the year for the TA2, the performance ball that Nike Golf introduced early this year for its Tour Staff and amateurs seeking maximum distance (TA2-LNG) and incredible feel (TA2ISPN). Last year, Nike Golf's Jason Gore captured the Oregon Classic with the Tour Accuracy TW golf ball for his second win of the year on what was then the BUY.com Tour. The win was the first for Nike Golf's 400cc Forged Titanium Driver. With his success, Gore now plays on the PGA Tour. In 2000, Nike Golf's Keoke Cotner won the Oregon Classic with the Tour Accuracy TW. The Oregon Classic was not played in 2001 due to the events of September 11, 2001. Nike Golf, located in Beaverton, Oregon, is passionately dedicated to honoring and respecting the traditions and heritage of the game, and to providing committed golfers with the absolute best equipment in the game in every product category.
