Golfer's Guide Launches Six Regional Sites Dedicated to Florida

(September 10, 2003) - A leading authority on golf in Florida for more than a decade, Golfer's Guide and golfersguide.com have launched six new regional Web sites that offer visitors and residents of the Sunshine State opportunity for discounted golf, access to golf course reviews, features and statistics and valuable local golf news.

The six sites, which will be hosted as regional sites on www.golfersguide.com, will feature golf in Jacksonville, Orlando/Central Florida, Tampa Bay, Sarasota, Naples and South Florida. In addition to features, reviews, instruction and local news, each of these sites will feature the GolfUS Tee Time Auction program, which allows golfers to bid each week on discounted foursomes at courses throughout Florida.

By logging onto the site, golfers can save on green fees to some of Florida's finest courses, providing ample opportunity for local and visiting golfers to save on green fees almost every time they tee it up.

The Florida Tee Time Auction features courses from popular golf destinations such as Orlando, Palm Coast, St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Port St. Lucie. With the right bid, golfers can play popular Florida courses such as Ocean Hammock, The Tides, Errol Estate Country Club and the Links at Greenfield Plantation for discounted rates. All told, the Florida Auction features more than 40 of the finest and most challenging courses the Sunshine State has to offer.

In addition to Florida, the Tee Time Auction also features courses from Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and Ohio.

"No matter the time of year, golfers are always looking for the best deal and with our tee time auction they can find it at www.golfersguide.com," said Mike Schaefer, senior vice president of marketing for Golfer's Guide Marketing Solutions, parent company of Golfer's Guide and golfersguide.com. "The program provides golf courses with the opportunity to market their course and sell available tee times and gives golfers a chance to play more affordable golf at courses they've always wanted to play."

Once registered to participate in the auction, golfers will receive a weekly newsletter highlighting golf throughout Florida and updating members of new golf specials, course openings and other golf-related news from other areas of the country, including the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast.

Each of the six Florida sites will highlight golf in a specific region offering course reviews, special features on golf resorts and travel, local news, instruction tips and coupons to some of the best courses in the state. Further, golfers can access vital course statistics such as slope, rating, yardage and dress code for hundreds of courses located through the state. The Florida sites join more than 30 other regional Web sites highlighting golf throughout the United States and Canada.

Golfer's Guide Marketing Solutions has been publishing Golfer's Guides throughout Florida for more than 12 years and has been highlighting golf in the Sunshine State online through www.golfersguide.com for more than five years. In Florida alone, Golfer's Guide prints more than 1.5 million magazines annually and reaches more than 3 million golfers.

In addition to the publication, the company offers Internet marketing, Web design, database marketing and online travel and tee time services to golf courses throughout North America.
