Ohio State Park Lodges Launch Video Contest

OHIO STATE PARK LODGES, June 28, 2012 - Five Ohio State Park Lodges operated by concessioner Xanterra Parks & Resorts are looking for a few good videos.
The 2012 Ohio State Park Lodges Video Contest is underway now through Nov. 15, 2012. Visitors to Maumee Bay State Park Lodge, Salt Fork State Park Lodge, Deer Creek State Park Lodge, Punderson Manor State Park Lodge and Mohican State Park Lodge are invited to create videos of one-to-five minutes in length that showcase their Ohio State Park experience. The title of the video should include the name of the lodge visited and also include a video name. Example: Deer Creek Lodge Smith Family Vacation.
"We are seeking artful, brief videos that capture Ohio State Park experiences, and we are hoping to receive a wide array of themes, from nature to kids having fun," said Dianna Rom, regional director of sales for Ohio State Park Lodges. "We want everyone to see how much fun can be had at an Ohio State Park Lodge, and this is a way for viewers to experience the parks as our guests see them."
Registered guests who don't own or forgot to bring their video cameras can borrow them from the lodges on a first-come, first-served basis, Rom added.

One grand prize winner will receive a two-night "Buckeye Package" at the Xanterra-operated Ohio State Park Lodge of choice. The package includes lodging for two nights, dinner for two, breakfast each morning and a $100 gift shop certificate. Additionally, first- and second-place winners will be selected for each of the five Xanterra-operated lodges. First-place winners will receive a two-night stay and breakfast for two at a lodge of their choice. Second-place winners will receive a one-night stay at the lodge of their choice.
Participants may enter by uploading the video to www.youtube.com and completing the online contest entry form or by sending a DVD or flash drive through the mail. By entering the contest videographers agree that the videos become the property of Xanterra, granting the company the right to use the submission free of charge in any manner or media.
