New York - June 14, 2012: The Israel Ministry of Tourism will make its premiere appearance at the annual gathering of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in New Orleans next week.
On Monday, June 18th, the Israel Ministry of Tourism will host a special "Celebrate Israel" breakfast for the attendees of the SBC (from 7am to 9am at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside - 2 Poydras Street), followed by a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am at the Israel booth (#370) at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The "Celebrate Israel" breakfast will begin with a welcome from Haim Gutin, Israel Tourism Commissioner for North and South America, and will include greetings from Dr. Frank Page, President and CEO of the Executive Committee of the SBC, musical performances by Robert
Stearns, Amick Byram and Seven, and a benediction from Dr. Jack Graham. The special breakfast event will honor the recipients of the 2012 Israel Faithful Ambassador Awards, including Dr. Page, Dr. Graham and Dr. O.S. Hawkins, President and CEO of the SBC Annuity Board, in recognition of their work in support of Christian tourism to Israel. Dr. Hawkins will also deliver the morning's keynote address.
After the breakfast, the Israel Ministry of Tourism will host a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony, with Commissioner Haim Gutin officially opening the first-ever Israel booth on the SBC exhibition floor.
