Applications for TN Creates, the juried arts show, will be available at a later date. The deadline for Food Vendors is March 15. Arts & Crafts and Exhibitors applications are due by May 25.

Last year, rain dampened part of the annual festivities, but folks still enjoyed games, entertainment, music, food, and fun while the sun was out.

According to Jane Gibson, festival coordinator, this year's festival is set to be even more exciting, with some new events and activities, top-notch entertainment, and fun for the whole family.

"We're getting close to announcing this year's entertainment," Gibson said, "as well as a couple of new features for this year's festival. We do our best to bring something new to the event each year, and I really think our visitors are going to be excited about some of our additions for 2012."

The festival is constantly evolving into a bigger and better event that draws in visitors from all over the country, Gibson explained. People come from all around to take part in the historic tours of Manhattan Project sites, the World War II re-enactment, the free children's activities, the history exhibits, arts & crafts, the musical and entertainment lineup and more.

Recently, the American Bus Association named the Secret City Festival as one of their Top 100 Events. The International and Southern Festival & Events Associations have honored the festival with several Pinnacle Awards and Kaleidoscope Awards over the past few years, including a Silver Kaleidoscope Award for Best Festival in 2011.

The 10th Annual Secret City Festival is sponsored by the City of Oak Ridge and B&W Y-12 and is presented by the City of Oak Ridge, the Oak Ridge Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Arts Council of Oak Ridge.
