AMSE Discovery Shop Offers Books On Oak Ridge's Prophet

To coincide with the new exhibit "John Hendrix: Oak Ridge's Prophet," the Discovery Shop, located at the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge, is offering four books with chapters and references to John Hendrix and one DVD.

The Discovery Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am - 4:45 and Sunday form 1:00 - 4:45 pm. Purchase a book with chapters or references on John Hendrix including Back of Oak Ridge by Grace Raby Crawford; John Hendrix Story by David Ray Smith, The Oak Ridge Story by George O. Robinson, Jr. and Images of America: Oak Ridge by Ed Westcott. The DVD is "The Secret City"/Heartland Series narrated by Bill Landry, WBIR/AMSE.

"John Hendrix: Oak Ridge's Prophet," opens November 9 through January 30, 2011 in the lobby at the American Museum of Science and Energy located at 300 South Tulane Avenue in Oak Ridge. AMSE admission is Adults $5, Seniors (65+) $4, Students (6 - 17) $3 and Children (5 and under) free. AMSE members are free. Group rates are available for 20 or more with advance reservations. AMSE memberships, good for 12 months from date of purchase, are Family $35, Grandparents $30, Individuals $25 and Family & Friends $75.
