· Delta Connection Boosts Regional Jet Service between Atlanta and Daytona Beach, Fla.; Houston Hobby; Pittsburgh; Sarasota, Fla.; Washington Dulles
ATLANTA (September 8, 2003) - Delta Connection will increase daily nonstop regional jet service between Delta Air Lines' (NYSE: DAL) Atlanta hub and Daytona Beach, Fla.; Houston's Hobby Airport; Pittsburgh; Sarasota, Fla.; and Washington, D.C.'s Dulles International Airport with the fall 2003 schedule.

In each market, Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) will add one daily nonstop, round-trip flight using the popular Bombardier CRJ200 regional jet. Increased jet service begins Oct. 1 at Houston Hobby and Pittsburgh, Dec. 1 at Daytona Beach, and Jan. 1, 2004, at Sarasota and Washington Dulles.

"The addition of Delta Connection regional jet service through the Atlanta hub will offer travelers increased onboard comfort while maintaining a strong schedule of connecting opportunities to more flights and more destinations than at any other single-airline hub worldwide," said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer of Delta Connection, Inc. "As Delta Connection carriers take delivery of additional regional jets, our customers are benefiting from increased service aboard this popular aircraft."

Known for convenience, comfort and speed, CRJs feature a comfortable two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is an aisle or window, with no middle seats. The plane can cruise at 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet, and is recognized as one of the quietest commercial aircraft in the world.

Delta Connection includes Delta Air Lines' wholly owned subsidiaries Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Comair, additional regional carriers Atlantic Coast Airlines, Chautauqua Airlines and SkyWest Airlines, and codeshare partner American Eagle (in California). Delta Connection carriers operate more than 350 regional jets throughout North America. For more information, please visit delta.com.
