· Continental Airlines To Launch Flights From Cleveland To Sarasota And Daytona Beach, Fla. New Flights Expand Reach Of Hopkins International AirportCLEVELAND (September 22, 2003) - Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport today announced the airline will begin new seasonal nonstop service from its Cleveland hub to both Sarasota, Fla., and to Daytona Beach, Fla., on Dec. 17. Continental's regional partner, Continental Express, will operate daily seasonal jet service to both Florida cities. Flights will be timed for convenient connections to and from dozens of cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. "Continental's continuing faith in Cleveland service is a positive indicator for our region. They have consistently served the needs of Northeast Ohio while maintaining the highest quality of customer service. We are delighted to partner with Continental for the future prosperity of Cleveland and our neighbors," stated City of Cleveland Airport Director John C. Mok "With these new services, Continental will offer Northeast Ohio travelers even more choices and more convenient access to more warm-weather destinations than any other carrier in the region, just in time for the peak Winter period, Presidents Day and Spring Break," said Jon Roitman, Continental's senior director - Cleveland. Coinciding with the Winter travel period, Continental also will increase its service or use larger airplanes on flights from Cleveland to Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando and West Palm Beach, Fla.; San Juan, P.R.; and Los Angeles. This year, Continental and its regional partners have introduced new nonstop service from Cleveland to 15 cities, including Seattle, Austin and San Antonio, as well as several northeastern and Midwest cities. Continental, Continental Express and Continental Connection today offer more than 250 daily departures from Cleveland Hopkins, Northeast Ohio's largest airport, to nearly 80 destinations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and the U.K. In addition, Continental will begin new year-round service between Houston and Sarasota on Dec. 17. Continental currently offers daily nonstop jet service linking Sarasota and Daytona Beach with New York/Newark.
