· AA.com Introduces Easy Access To Most Popular Features American Airlines Gives Customers The Quick Access They Want For The Features They Use MostFORT WORTH, Texas (September 22, 2003) - In response to customer feedback requesting quick access to the favorite features on AA.com, American Airlines has changed the look of its home page, making key features easier than ever to find and use. "We are constantly seeking customer feedback in order to ensure AA.com is the best place to make travel plans online," said Rob Friedman, managing director - Interactive Marketing and Reservations at American Airlines. "Most recently, customers told us they wanted to be able to quickly access the features on AA.com that they use most, without scrolling through menus or drop-down lists. The change to AA.com provides very visible, one-click tabs as an alternative to the standard left-hand flyout navigation. This change helps simplify the customer experience." With the easy-access features on AA.com, customers can purchase upgrades, view miles, sign up for Flight Status Notification or use Flight Check-InSM - all with one simple click. These six new tabs requested by customers have been added to the home page: - My Reservations - Flight Check-In - Schedules - Flight Status Notification - Purchase Upgrade - Email Subscriptions. AAdvantage members can earn 500 AAdvantage bonus miles* the first time they use Flight Check-In on AA.com through Sept. 30, 2003. Flight Check-In enables AAdvantage members traveling with domestic electronic tickets to check in and print their boarding pass from the convenience of their home, office or anywhere they have Internet access and a printer. They can also select seats and request certain upgrades. In addition to Flight-Check-in, American Airlines offers a full suite of customer check-in services, including more than 700 Self-Service Check-In machines and more than 300 Curbside Check-In locations at airports throughout the United States. *Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification. Bonus miles will be posted within three to four weeks after flight activity is posted to the traveler's AAdvantage account. The AA.com bonus applies only to the person traveling. Other than AAdvantage membership, no registration is required. The award-winning American Airlines Web site, www.aa.com, is the best place for customers to do business online with American. Because the site is designed to meet individual travel needs, customers who log in with an AAdvantage Travel Awards Program number and password receive personalized news, information and specials, including Net SAAver & Special Offers, AAdvantage bonus offers and discounted vacation packages. In addition, the site offers customers the ability to check in for flights, print boarding passes, manage AAdvantage accounts, book award travel and sign up for proactive flight-status notification by voice or text message.
