· Delta Connection Increases Jet Service at Wilmington, N.C.
WILMINGTON, N.C. (August 19, 2003) - Delta Connection will offer customers an additional nonstop regional jet flight between Wilmington, N.C., and Atlanta beginning Oct. 1, 2003. Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines will operate the new flight, giving Wilmington customers another option for morning travel to and from Delta's (NYSE: DAL) largest hub in Atlanta.

With the new jet service, Delta Connection will offer Wilmington passengers six daily nonstop, round-trip flights between Wilmington and Atlanta, all aboard Bombardier CRJ regional jets.

"Flight frequency and schedule are very important to our customers," said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer, Delta Connection, Inc. "This additional service gives Wilmington customers more seat capacity and flight choices during the morning hours."

Passengers traveling through Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport - the largest single-airline hub in the world - have access to more than 900 flights to 182 destinations worldwide operated by Delta, Delta Connection, Song and Delta's worldwide partners.

Known for convenience, comfort and speed, the CRJs feature a comfortable two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is an aisle or window, with no middle seats. The plane can cruise at 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet, and is recognized as the quietest commercial aircraft in the world.
