Book Drive Supports First Lady's Preferred Literacy Organization

NEW YORK (June 30, 2003) - The Westin New York at Times Square is marking its one-year anniversary with a special book-drive promotion. In the tradition of the first year anniversary gift of paper, guests who bring a new or gently-used book to the hotel will receive a special rate starting as low as $199 per night on weekdays (Monday through Thursday) and $179 per night on weekends (Friday through Sunday), valid July 1 through October 18, 2003 (the hotel's official anniversary date).* When booking, please ask for the BOOK (weekday stays) or BOOKEND (weekend stays) rate plans. All books will be donated to Reach Out and Read, a national, non-profit organization that promotes early literacy by making books a routine part of pediatric care and is supported by First Lady Laura Bush.
