· XV Beacon Has The Ideal Ticket For Rembrandt And Gauguin Exhibits This Autumn
Designer Boutique Hotel With Significant Art Collection Teams Up With The Museum Of Fine Arts In Boston To Offer Exclusive Stays

BOSTON, MA (July 23, 2003) - Rembrandt van Rijn and Paul Gauguin will be visiting Boston in the coming months, checking into the Museum of Fine Arts for extended stays and major exhibitions beginning October 2003. Fifteen Beacon Hotel, a long-standing supporter of Boston's premier art institution, will offer two exclusive getaways for art lovers.

Fifteen Beacon, the high-design 60-room hotel, has a reputation for art appreciation in its own right. Indeed, art connoisseurs are drawn to the hotel's collection of contemporary museum-quality art throughout the property including works by Martha Lloyd, Joe Greene, Tony Evanko and Ben Freeman. The lobby is dominated by Green Dot, an oil-on-canvas by Jules Olitski, and the hotel owns two portraits by Gilbert Stuart. Three pieces from Theodoros Stamos' famous Sunbox Series are on display at The Federalist restaurant, as well as a large Roman mosaic dating (circa) 4th century A.D. in The Wine Cellar.

As with all showcase events at the Museum of Fine Arts, the Rembrandt and Gauguin exhibitions are expected to be popular, with sell-out crowds. To make it easy for its guests to attend, XV Beacon's getaway offers include:

XV Beacon's Rembrandt Getaway: One-night stay in a Classic room; two tickets to the Museum of Fine Arts Rembrandt's Journey exhibit; a welcome amenity; a complimentary ride to the Museum in one of XV Beacon's luxury S-Series Designo-espresso Mercedes sedans. The upcoming Museum of Fine Arts exhibitions include:

Rembrandt's Journey: Painter Draftsman Etcher (Oct 26, 2003 Jan 18, 2004): This major international loan exhibition of over 200 works explores Rembrandt's dynamic artistic career, as well as his astonishing range and variety as an etcher within the context of his paintings.

Gauguin Tahiti (Feb 29 June 27, 2004): This major retrospective paints Gauguin's progression from France to the South Seas. The centerpiece is Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?, a multi-hued masterpiece painted near the end of Gauguin's life, and an important piece in the Museum's permanent collection. Highlights in the exhibition include rarely lent wooden sculptures from the Muse¨¦ d'Orsay, Paris, as well as paintings, prints and drawings.

Prominently placed and conveniently located, the 60-room XV Beacon is tucked in a turn-of-the-20th-century Beaux Arts building on Boston's historic Beacon Hill. Each of the hotel's ten stories has seven rooms with individually designed Italian-inspired decors. Guest rooms feature queen-size poster beds, 300-thread-count Italian linens, working gas fireplaces, an eclectic mixture of custom-designed European furniture and surround-sound digital stereo with 5-disc CD player.
