· New Prague Excursion Pass From Rail Europe Makes It Easy To Add Prague To A Eurailpass Trip WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (July 17, 2003) - The new Prague Excursion Pass from Rail Europe fills a long-standing gap for travelers touring Europe with a Eurailpass or Eurail Selectpass, neither of which is valid in the Czech Republic. Now, for just $40 US (2nd class) or $55 US (1st), you can travel roundtrip from any Czech border point to Prague - one of today's most popular destinations and one of Europe's most beautiful and intriguing cities.
Those with a Eurailpass or Eurail Selectpass can cross into the Czech Republic from Germany or Austria and sample Prague's unique blend of Old World romantic charm and upbeat 21st century dynamism. Discounted Prague Excursion Passes are also available for travelers under 26 for $35 (2nd class) or $45 (1st) and for children age 4-11 for $20 (2nd) and $28 (1st). Both segments of the roundtrip must be completed within 7 days, giving travelers ample time to take in Prague's wide range of architecture (from Gothic and Baroque to Art Nouveau and Frank Gehry), music (from Mozart to jazz-rock fusion and heavy metal), cuisine (traditional Central European to Middle Eastern to contemporary Euro-eclectic). The return trip need not be to the same border point as the inbound trip, and stops within the Czech Republic - to such appealing destinations as historic Brno or picturesque Trebon (en route from Vienna) or the spa of Marienbad (en route from Nurnberg/Munich) are allowed but must be completed on the same day. For more information on the Prague Excursion Pass, Eurailpass and Eurail Selectpass or rail travel throughout Europe and the U.K., contact a travel agent or Rail Europe at 1-888-382-7245 or log onto www.raileurope.com.
