· Name Your Price For September Villa Vacation On Barbados, Says Destination Specialist Wimco Barbados One of Few Caribbean Islands Ignored by Traditional Fall Hurricanes, Making Locale Ideal for September Holidays NEWPORT, R.I. (July 17, 2003) - "Name your price; anything reasonable goes." Destination specialist Wimco, the luxury vacation villa and hotel reservations company, offers September 2003 villa vacations on Barbados at client-set rates. Villas with codes beginning with the designation BS (www.Wimco.com) are available in September by naming your own price. No reasonable offer will be refused. "This is a really refreshing and innovative approach to villa marketing. I can't imagine what will stimulate villa interest more than a true auction kind of market. It will determine what the market will bear in the truest sense of the world 'market,'" says Janis Gordon, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "So, vacationers, you can determine what a particular villa vacation is worth to YOU and see if the owner accepts the value you place on your vacation villa offer. This gives opportunity a whole new meaning for potential travelers." "If I were bringing my family or a group of friends to Barbados," Gordon says, "I would offer a rate of 50 percent LESS -- or slightly more -- than what a villa normally goes for. The owner may construe that as a reasonable offer," says Gordon. Wimco has an extensive inventory of 180 villas on Barbados, with sizes ranging from one to 10 bedrooms. Examples of villas (rates applicable through mid December 2003) include: * The 8-bedroom Crystal Springs on one of St. James's most spectacular beachfront estates; weekly rate $21,000 inclusive of household personnel, including a butler. * The 5-bedroom The Dream on the beach on Barbados, west coast; weekly rate $10,010 inclusive of household personnel. * The 3-bedroom Ocean View in the beachfront Merlin Bay complex; weekly rate $2,800 inclusive of household personnel. Wimco's Caribbean villa selection includes 680 villas on, in addition to Barbados, 11 other islands including St. Barts, St. Martin, Mustique, Nevis, Anguilla, and others. For 20 years Wimco has been the exclusive representative of Sibarth Villas in St. Barthelemy, an island famous for luxury rental villas and chic lifestyle. Wimco/Sibarth has established credentials as a licensed, FNAIM agency certified to conduct real estate rentals in France and is affiliated through Sibarth with Sotheby's International.
