· Delta Connection To Begin Non-stop Jet Service Between New York's Jfk And Cities Of Nashville, St, Louis New flights offer customers convenient access to New York and international destinationsNEW YORK CITY - Delta Connection will offer customers convenient nonstop jet service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and the cities of Nashville and St. Louis, effective Aug. 1. Delta Connection carrier Comair will operate one daily round-trip flight between New York JFK and each of these cities using the Bombardier CRJ regional jet. "Convenient and direct access to and from New York is important to our customers, especially business customers," said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer, Delta Connection Inc. "Our new service from Nashville and St. Louis also offers customers convenient access to a large selection of international flights at New York JFK on Delta and its SkyTeam partners." Delta and Delta Connection customers at New York JFK have access to more than 38 international flights daily to 27 destinations operated by Delta, Delta Connection and Delta worldwide partners. Known for its convenience, comfort and speed, the CRJ carries passengers in a two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is an aisle or window, with no middle seats. The plane can cruise at a speed of 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet and is recognized as the quietest commercial jet aircraft in the world. Delta Connection carriers include Delta's wholly owned subsidiaries Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Comair, additional regional carriers Atlantic Coast Airlines, Chautauqua Airlines and SkyWest Airlines, and codeshare partner American Eagle (in California).
