· Delta Connection Offers Introductory Fares For Service Between State College, Pa., And Delta's Cincinnati Hub STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Delta Connection is offering customers low introductory fares to 126 cities to celebrate new nonstop jet service between State College, Pa., and Delta Air Lines' (NYSE: DAL) hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Delta Connection carrier Comair will operate three daily round-trip flights between Cincinnati and University Park Airport in State College beginning July 22, 2003, using the Bombardier CRJ regional jet. This is the first jet service for State College customers.
Tickets must be purchased by July 18, 2003. Fares require a roundtrip 14-day advance purchase and a Saturday night stay. The fares are valid for travel July 22 through Oct.22, 2003. Some blackout dates apply. See below for details and other important restrictions. The plane can cruise at a speed of 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet and is recognized as the quietest commercial jet aircraft in the world. Delta Connection carriers include Delta's wholly owned subsidiaries Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Comair, additional regional carriers Atlantic Coast Airlines, Chautauqua Airlines and SkyWest Airlines, and codeshare partner American Eagle (in California).
