· Delta Connection Expands Jet Service between Salt Lake City and Phoenix; Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Orange County, Calif.
SALT LAKE CITY - Delta Connection will expand travel options from Delta Air Lines' (NYSE: DAL) hub in Salt Lake City to three western cities, effective July 1, 2003. Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines will operate one additional round-trip flight each to Phoenix; Colorado Springs, Colo; and Orange County, Calif.

"This schedule allows customers more convenient options to meet their travel needs," said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer of Delta Connection, Inc. "Travelers at Salt Lake City International Airport have a choice of more than 285 Delta and Delta Connection daily flights to 67 domestic and international cities."

With the new schedule, Delta and Delta Connection will offer a total of five daily round-trip flights from Salt Lake City to Colorado Springs, six round-trip flights to Orange County and nine round-trip flights to Phoenix.

Known for its convenience, comfort and speed, the CRJ carries passengers in a two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is an aisle or window, with no middle seats. The plane can cruise at a speed of 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet and is recognized as the quietest commercial jet aircraft in the world.

Delta Connection includes Delta's wholly owned subsidiaries Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Comair, additional regional carriers Atlantic Coast Airlines, Chautauqua Airlines and SkyWest Airlines, and codeshare partner American Eagle (in California).
