· Curtain Will Rise on Prague's New Music-Themed Aria Hotel on August 15 with Special "Overture" Rates
PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Prague's newest treasure, the 52-room, music-themed Aria Hotel will open its doors August 15th under the direction of innovative hotelier Henry Kallan. In honor of the hotel's debut, guests booking stays through the end of 2003 will receive a special introductory "Overture" rate of $225 per night for a Superior Room.* Rack rates will range from $325 to $975 per night for the 52 luxurious rooms, which include junior suites, one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom suites. Rates include chauffeur service from the airport, daily deluxe breakfast, wine and cheese reception on weeknights, complimentary access to the hotel's fitness club, high-speed Internet access, and all taxes and service charges.

Set in Prague's architecturally exquisite Mala Strana, the "little quarter," the Aria will boast rooms and suites saluting the greatest composers and performers of all time. Each of the four floors will be dedicated to a major genre of music, namely Contemporary, Classical, Opera, and Jazz. Each of the Ariads guestrooms will honor an acclaimed artist, composer or genre with CDs, art and books. Featured artists and genres will include Brahms and Bernstein for Classical; British Rock and Bossa Nova for Contemporary; Puccini and Mozart for Opera and Swing and Fusion for Jazz. Guestrooms and suites will include complimentary Internet access, DVD/CD players, rich wool carpeting with musical note designs, fine Italian linens and Molton Brown bath products. Bathrooms will boast Chilean granite heated floors with inlaid glass mosaics, polished granite countertops accented by rich mahogany shelving, and, of course, speakers for piping in music.

The enjoyment and celebration of music will be amplified through the Aria Hotel. Live music will be played in the Winter Garden, and the Music Library will stock books, CDs and DVDs for guestsd entertainment, while The Music Box, with an advanced sound system and a high-definition plasma screen, will provide an intimate entertainment chamber for up to six guests. The Music Salon will feature a wood-burning fireplace and rich distressed leather seating. Each evening, screenings of live worldwide musical performances will be shown in the hotel's private screening room. An added bonus, Prague-born Dr. Ivana Stehlikova, with a PhD in music, will serve as the hotel's musical director, assisting guests with recommendations on the cityds cultural events and suggesting music from the library for their enjoyment. The Winter Garden, an atrium setting of fruit trees, rattan furnishings, a grand piano and a waterfall, which is reminiscent of the courtyard of a splendid palace, will provide year-round enjoyment. A visit to the hotel's rooftop garden will leave guests with no doubt that they are in Prague's most picturesque and prestigious quarter. For an exceptional dining experience, the Aria Hotel will showcase Coda, under the direction of Nils Jebens, Prague's most celebrated restaurateur. In addition, the hotel will feature a 24-hour business center, 24-hour room service, a fitness club with sauna and massage services, and a 30-car parking garage.
