· Carnival Cruise Lines Offering Free Upgrades And Exceptional Discounts On Fall Cruises Through Limited Time Offer MIAMI - Carnival Cruise Lines is kicking off a new free upgrade promotion combined with extraordinarily low pricing for the fall cruise period on a wide variety of three to eight-day cruises. For a limited time only, guests who book an inside stateroom on a voyage departing between September and mid-December 2003 receive a complimentary upgrade to ocean view accommodations. Those who book an ocean view stateroom receive a free upgrade to an ocean view balcony room.
Under the program, prices for an inside stateroom with free upgrade to ocean view start at $279 per person for three and four-day cruises, $329 per person for five-day voyages, and $549 per person for seven-day cruises. Prices for ocean view accommodations with free upgrade to ocean view with balcony start at $749 per person for seven-day cruises and $849 per person for eight-day voyages. (Lead pricing may be slightly higher for some ships and itineraries. Certain facets of the upgrade promotion may not be available on some ships depending on stateroom configurations.) The promotion is available on cruises departing from most of Carnival's fall homeports including Miami, Port Canaveral, Tampa, New Orleans, Galveston, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan and Long Beach/Los Angeles. Cruising areas include the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico. "This upgrade promotion is a terrific incentive for consumers to plan their fall vacations now," said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president and CEO. "Not only are we giving away complimentary upgrades but our 2003 prices are, in many instances, more than 25 percent less than they were in the early 1980s. That is extraordinary considering the difference between today's ships and those of 20 years ago. The cruise ships back then didn't even come close to those of today in terms of size, amenities, facilities, dining, entertainment and activities. You can pick virtually any category and we are light years from where we were two decades ago, yet cruises are selling for substantially less," he added. "Consumers have never had a better opportunity to enjoy a quality vacation experience at such a great value." To receive the complimentary upgrade, cruises must be booked by June 30, 2003, under fare code CPBG. The promotion is applicable to new, individual reservations only and certain other restrictions may apply. Air transportation add-ons, available from a variety of North American gateways, can be booked in conjunction with the upgrade promotion under fare code FPBG.
