· Summer Sampler Golf Package Offers A Variety Of Options
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Visitors may sample the superior golf and teaching facilities this summer with the "Summer Sampler" golf package that includes a semi-private lesson with a teaching golf professional at historic Colonial Williamsburg's Golden Horseshoe Golf Club.

Available beginning June 15 through August 30, the "Summer Sampler" golf package includes one round of golf at Colonial Williamsburg's highly acclaimed Green Course at Golden Horseshoe, a 45-minute semi-private lesson, plus lodging at one of Colonial Williamsburg's five hotels, ranging in package rates from $113 to $229 (per person, per night, based on double occupancy, two-night minimum).

Golf Digest readers recently ranked the golf club's two courses, Gold and Green, in the top five percent of North American public-access layouts. The Green Course, a Rees Jones-designed, 7,120-yard layout, debuted in 1991. The award-winning Gold Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., opened in 1963. It underwent a full renovation by Rees Jones several years ago and now plays to 6,817 yards from the championship tees.

Depending on availability, guests may create their personal sampler by selecting lodging accommodations at the Williamsburg Inn main building ($229/person/night), Williamsburg Inn Providence Hall Wings ($188), Colonial Houses-Historic Lodging ($143), Williamsburg Lodge ($130) or the Woodlands Hotel & Suites ($113).
