· Hands-On In Napa and Sonoma
(November 22, 2003) - Cut the vines, stomp the grapes, blend the flavors and make your own merlot! These are just some of the fun hands-on activities included on Travel Envoy's Wine Guide tour to Napa and Sonoma. The Editor of Travel Envoy's Wine Guide (an extensive internet wine reference guide) will himself lead this one week tour through the most famous wine-growing area in the North America. Tour participants will use all their senses to explore the region. Through private tours, special reserve and barrel tastings, and some unique seminars and hands-on classes, you will learn first hand what makes the Napa and Sonoma valleys so special, and their wine so popular. An eclectic variety of wineries are on the agenda, including Rubissow-Sargent, St. Supery, Frog's Leap, Luna, Duckhorn, Rutherford Hill, Chateau St. Jean, Benziger and more!

One afternoon is spent at the famed COPIA: The American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts. Named for the Roman goddess of abundance, COPIA is Napa's newest attraction and a must see. Wine tasting and a gourmet dinner aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train are also included on the tour.

The tour itinerary is full but leisurely paced, and includes time to relax, play golf or indulge in a special spa treatment. The accommodations are deluxe - including 3 nights at the 4-star Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa, and 2 nights at the charming MacArthur Place Inn & Spa in Sonoma. Most meals are included, along with plenty of wine tasting!

The theme of the tour is to indulge in unique and fun hands-on experiences while exploring the wine country. This experiential exploration will be both entertaining and informative for novice wine-lovers or Oenophiles alike.

Travel Envoy's Wine Guide tour of Napa & Sonoma is 7 days/6 nights, roundtrip from San Francisco starting July 10, 2004. The cost is only $2189.00 per person, share twin.
