· Moguls Mountain Travel Announces "Kids Fly Free" Ski Vacation Packages for 2003-2004 BOULDER, Colo. (September 29, 2003) - Family ski vacations have just become more affordable under a new promotion from Moguls Mountain Travel in partnership with American and United Airlines. Families booking a ski and lodging package through Moguls to Steamboat Springs, Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen/Snowmass, Telluride, Crested Butte, and Lake Tahoe, along with a handful of other destinations, may receive free air for children, age 2 to 11, with one child free for each paying adult. While restrictions apply, this is a major incentive for budget conscious families looking for outstanding value this upcoming ski season.
All of the major U.S. markets served by United and American Airlines are included in this promotion. Effective dates for the "Kids Fly Free" program for both airlines run December 2, 2003 through February 13, 2004. American however, extends the program from March 28 through April 23, 2004. Travel during the Christmas holiday time period (December 20 through January 3, 2004) is blacked out. The offer does require midweek travel, arriving at the ski destination Sunday through Thursday and departing for home on Monday through Friday. To sweeten the pot, Moguls Mountain Travel is offering the "Kids Fly Free" program in conjunction with Colorado's Steamboat Ski Resort where kids 2 to 12 not only fly complimentary but also receive free lift tickets and free ski rentals. The free ski pass and rental package promotion runs throughout the ski season and requires the purchase of an adult five-day or longer ski pass and rental package. One child skis and rents for free for each adult also purchasing a five-day or longer lift ticket and five day rental package. Ski Magazine recently ranked Steamboat among the five best ski resorts in North America and #1 in family ski programs in the West. Moguls Mountain Travel has been booking family ski packages for 22 years. According to the company, rarely has there ever been a more attractive and affordable promotion than the one offered in conjunction with American and United Airlines and Steamboat for 2004. "Families are the first ones looking for a good deal and deservingly so," states Bruce Rosard, President of Moguls Mountain Travel. "Skiing is one sport where all the members of a family can get outdoors and have a great time together. When you have a program like this where kids can fly, ski, and rent equipment for free at one of the world's top resorts there's never been a more advantageous time to book a family ski vacation." Since 1982, Moguls Mountain Travel has offered singles, couples, families, and groups customized ski and snowboard vacations throughout the United States, Canada, and the world. Utilizing the speed and ease of online trip planning backed by veteran telephone vacation consultants, clients can build packages according to their abilities, desires, and budgets. Moguls combines a variety of lodging properties and a wide range of pricing, location, and amenity options with bulk airfare to create personalized and competitive vacation packages. The company touts the fact that they are not owned by a ski resort allowing them an unbiased and objective approach when recommending which destination is best for their clients. Earlier this year Moguls announced a major upgrade to their online services. In partnership with Resort Reservations Network, Moguls launched Rezolution, an innovative online reservation system specifically designed to make it faster and easier for consumers to plan and book a North American ski vacation. Rezolution allows clients to book their complete vacation online with Moguls, including hotel, airfare, ground transportation, and activities. Travelers can take virtual tours of destinations and preview vacation activities and accommodations as they plan their trip. "With the launch of our website-based booking engine," claims Rosard, "Moguls has become a recognized leader in online ski vacation planning and reservations."
