Live Music from Morning to Night as Willard InterContinental Celebrates World Music Day - Fete de la Musique

Washington DC, May 28, 2009 -- Highlighting the joy of music, the Willard InterContinental is celebrating Fete de la Musique - or "World Music Day" on Friday, June 19. Guests partaking in the hospitable ambiance of the Willard's dining, beverage and social venues will enjoy a full day -- from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. -- of varying musical styles. Nine live performances will be featured throughout the hotel. Launched in 1982 by the French Ministry for Culture, Fete de la Musique is held in more than hundred countries in Europe and around the world to celebrate the beginning of summer.
