(August 26, 2008) - Known as the "The Most Biker-Friendly Free Rally in the United States," the upcoming 8th Annual Thunder Beach Autumn Motorcycle Rally is expected to draw as many as 65,000 bikers and their families from across America to the premier seaside destination of Panama City Beach.

The official Thunder Beach Autumn rally and Panama City Beach Bike Week feature a fully loaded week of motorcycle showmanship, vendor exhibitions, bike accessories and apparel, live entertainment, local restaurant sponsors, free contests, giveaways - all hosted by six venues on Panama City Beach. An abundance of Thunder Beach merchandise and Panama City Beach Bike Week merchandise can only be found at all official Thunder Beach venues and parking and admission are free to all participants.
The Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort jump-starts this year's Autumn Rally with a "Pre-Event Concert Series." National recording artists take the stage for five days of live musical entertainment Sat., Sept. 20 - Wed., Sept. 24. The events officially kick off on Friday, Sept. 19th at 8:00 PM with the first of three Miss Thunder Beach semi final pageants. On Saturday, local band Relix begin the festivities with renditions of classic beach tunes and round two of the Miss Thunder Beach semi final pageants. Sunday evening will feature the classic rock and drivin' blues of The Dan Lawson Band, while biker band Geneva delivers a full-throttle show on Monday. Featuring an all-female lineup, Mustang Sally takes the stage with Dan Lawson for two unforgettable performances on Tues. and Wed. The Shoppes at Edgewater provides the ideal backdrop for cycle enthusiasts to stroll among 75,000 square feet of vendor exhibits, or purchase souvenirs from the official Thunder Beach merchandise tents. Local and regional entertainment performs daily on the main music stage from 11:00 a.m. -- 11:00 p.m., Thurs. - Sat. Visitors can also snag a front-row seat for the Sgt. Kevin Kight Memorial Thunder Beach Bike Parade, which salutes the fallen local police officer and raises food and monetary donations for Bay County children and families through the Cops for Kids program. The bike line-up will begin at 10:00 a.m. adjacent to the Shoppes at Edgewater, located at the cross section of Beckrich Road and Middle Beach Road, with the parade commencing at 11:00 AM Sat., Sept. 27, 2008.
Boardwalk Beach Resort will be hosting the Official Miss Thunder Beach Pageant finals, Fri., Sept. 26 at 5:00 PM. Riders and visitors will also find more than 40,000 square feet of merchandise vendors and exhibitors, both indoors and outdoors. The beachside "Party Pavillion" features live music everyday, daily fashions shows, contests, and other entertainment.
At Spinnaker Beach Club and Paradise Grill, J.B. Walker & the Cheap Whisky Band are the featured entertainment during the rally, with the group's special brand of "American Motor Music." The Spinnaker Beach Club also features indoor and outdoor stages, a full lineup of activities and contests, including the Miss Thunder Beach semi final to be held on Sun Sept. 21st 8:00 PM to help kick off Panama City Beach Bike Week, a "ride-in" vendor village with more than 25,000 square feet of biker merchandise and displays as well as additional vendors inside the restaurant. On Thurs., Sept. 25, Spinnaker hosts an opening night luau on the sugar-white shoreline of Panama City Beach. Enjoy fresh seafood and burgers hot off the grill in the outdoor dining tent while the sun sets over the Gulf of Mexico.
Frank Brown Park is the place for national vendors and exhibitors to set up shop for the Manufacturers & Bike Builders venue located in the premier Panama City Beach Special Events facility. You will find an abundance of entertainment including Nick Lee and his "World Burnout Tour" exhibition, a top-notch motorcycle stunt show, and a chance to test your riding skills in a variety of biker games. Riders can shop for parts and accessories and sample fresh seafood and other culinary delights at this expansive Thunder Beach location.
Sharky's Beachfront Restaurant & Tiki Bar offers food and drink specials daily throughout Thunder Beach.
