Travel Gear We Love
By Judi Janofsky & Rich Steck
We’re always on the prowl for new travel gear – ones that make travel easier and more fun. Here a few that we discovered recently. La Fresh Travel Kits No one enjoys the TSA’s restrictions on carrying liquids onboard a plane. Limited to 3 ounces or less of fluids that will fit in a quart-size plastic bag, we cram as many items as we can of things we just can’t do without on a flight. And then hope that none of them leak or “explode” in flight. Well, now we travel with La Fresh Travel Kits. Available for “him” and for “her,” these small zip-top travel pouches include single-use, carry-on items, mostly in the form of green-friendly towelettes, that are convenient and easy to use. “His” kits include shaving gel, dental finger mitt (for brushing your teeth) and anti-bacterial, shoe shine, lens cleaning and deodorant towelettes. “Her” kits include a dental finger mitt and makeup remover, eyes and lips makeup remover, anti-bacterial, hydrating lotion and deodorant towelettes. Ranging from $4.99 to $19.99, the one-day-stay Travel Kits, as well as the 30 individual convenience packets sold for longer stays, are available at leading spas and online at www.lafreshgroup.com. They will also be available soon at airport kiosks.
Smiley Toothbrush Cover We never travel without this cute little product. The Smiley Toothbrush covers keep your brush clean and safe in your luggage. The vents in the cover allow your brush to dry out, and the antimicrobial plastic assures it'll stay sanitary. Each holder even has a silicone suction cup that sticks to mirrors, tile and glass making it convenient and easy to use. Available at $5.79 for a package of two at www.amazon.com. ...More
