Girls Just Want to Have Fun
According to a July 2007 survey by AAA, nearly one-quarter of American women have taken a females-only trip in the past three years and 40 percent plan to get away with “the girls” in the next three years. Still, it can be challenging for busy women to find the time to plan and organize a girlfriends’ retreat. The Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa in Jackson Hole, Wyoming takes care of all the details with its luxurious Ultimate Girlfriends’ Getaway weekend. The $725 per person package (based on double occupancy) includes deluxe accommodations and a host of activities and spa treatments designed to indulge the body, mind and spirit. It’s available March 24 to April 30 and October 26 to December 18, 2008 (excluding November 26 to 29). For more info, visit www.rustyparrot.com.

Stay overnight in a jumbo jet
Visitors to Sweden will soon have a new lodging option at the Stockholm airport -- a converted Boeing 747. The jumbo jet will serve as a 80-room youth hostel and is set to open in May at the Arlanda airport. Businessman Oscar Diös has been given permission by airport owner LFV and the Swedish National Roads Administration to operate the hostel. The plane will be located near the airport entrance on road 273. Other unusual places to stay in Stockholm include the fully rigged ship af Chapman and the old prison on Långholmen.
