Rich has worked in a variety of news media, including broadcasting (NBC, PBS, NPR), feature writing and as Special Sections Editor for the St. Petersburg Times, plus cable newscasting as Vice President of the Times' broadcast subsidiary. After several years handling public relations for Royal Caribbean International, he jumped ship to write about travel.
