“Aimed at educating travel agents about services and facilities available in the Philippines, this familiarization tour introduced participants to the some of our great tourism sights,” said Maria Corazon Jorda-Apo, Head of Team North America for the Philippine Department of Tourism. Agents learned how to appeal to their clients’ special interests by utilizing the first-hand knowledge of Filipino cultural heritage, hospitality, tourism sites, exotic beaches and islands, unique dive spots, colorful festivals, cuisine, shopping and more,” she added.

Among the exceptional sites visited during the tour were the Philippine tarsiers, the oldest and smallest primates in the world; a lunch cruise on the Loboc River in Bohol; the nightlife of Boracay; the shopping in Manila and Cebu; and the history of Corregidor.
